Guinness World Record: Tightest parallel park in reverse

On Guinness World Record day itself, a stunt driver has broken the record for 'tightest parallel parking in reverse.'

Alastair Moffatt of Stunt Drive UK achieved the record at Brooklands, an iconic location in British motorsport.

Slamming his foot to the floor in reverse, Mr Moffatt can be seen nailing a rather dramatic J-turn before putting in a handbrake turn and then slotting into the small space.

The stunt driver was clearly delighted with the result, shouting ''Ave it! Yes!' before running to hug the adjudicator.

Having broken the record, Alastair said: "I am so thrilled that I was able to achieve a Guinness World Records title today – especially on Guinness World Records Day, it doesn’t get much better than that. A lot of planning, dedication and, of course, parking went it to today’s successful record attempt.”

Other records tumbled for the occasion including a skateboarding dog, blindfolded basketball shots and a 'Monkey man' who ran the 100m on all fours.
