A jilted husband has left a hotel a hilariously awkward five star review, by writing from the perspective of his unfaithful wife and her lover.

Thanking Westgrove Hotel, based in the Irish town of Clane, around 40km from the capital Dublin, the ruffled man claims in his review that his wife and her boss used his credit card to pay for their stay.

The reviewer, who says he works for a photography company on his Google+ page, wrote: “They were well rested after drinking at the bar and having sex in the lovely bath before resuming om the luxurious double bed.”

However, he sarcastically quipped that he was “unsure about value for money” as the stay was charged on his credit card, and reimbursed by the company his wife and her boss work for.

He goes on to warn that “cheaters” should be aware that the hotel keeps records of stays for a year.

“They also provide copies of bookings and invoices for the entire stay including bar reciepts and movie rentals. Thank you Westgrove!”

The tongue-in-cheek review comes after a New York hotel’s online rating plummeted to one star on Yelp and Facebook, after its management allegedly threatened to fine customers hundreds of dollars for posting negative reviews.

The Union Street Guest House in Hudson, New York, near the Catskill Mountains, warned couples who planned to host their wedding at the hotel that they faced a $500 fine for “every negative review placed on any internet site by anyone in your party”.
