Tavistock Town Council is advertising for 'general hand jobs'
37-hour weeks.

In a bit of absent-minded Facebooking, Tavistock Town Council has announced a 'general hand job' vacancy.
It's a full-time position, pays £13 – £14k and requires 37 hours of toil per week, though this is flexible.
The ad was posted on Your Guide to Tavistock's Facebook page, and swiftly edited to 'General Hand Level 1 Job vacancy' after it amused followers.
If you're curious, the General Hand position actually involves 'undertaking all aspects of the manual set up and dismantling of events for the Town Hall and Pannier Market, maintaining its cleanliness, acting as cover for bar staff during events within the Town Hall and minor property and ground maintenance duties.'
As job advert mistakes go it's entirely forgivable, unlike one from Pizza Hut, which in December sought 'decent good looking girls for reception'.
