The wife of a police bodyguard of Prince Andrew has been found murdered a mile from the prince's house in Sunninghill Park.

Pat Coulton, 52, had been stabbed repeatedly. Her husband, Michael, is in the Royal Protection Squad.

Detectives believe she was ambushed as she left work at Lynwood Nursing Home in the "millionaire" village of Sunningdale, Berks, on Friday. A member of the public found the body in the grounds of the home, where she was a carer. Det Supt Peter Hanks said the murder appeared to be motiveless.
