Detectives were last night hunting the killer of a man who had served 12 years of a life sentence for murdering his wife.
Abdul Majid, 61, was found stabbed to death in his flat in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, after neighbours noticed a "horrible" smell. He is believed to have been dead for about three weeks. In 1979, he was jailed for the knife murder of his wife Razia, 33, in front of two of their four children.
