Detectives in Norfolk last night charged Maria Hnatiuk, 27, with the murder of the teenager Rachael Lean. Ms Hnatiuk, who is being held at North Walsham police station, is due to appear before magistrates in Great Yarmouth today.

Rachael, 18, went missing last Tuesday and her body was found in undergrowth near RAF Coltishall on Sunday. A post-mortem examination revealed she died from multiple stab wounds. Sgt John Smith, of Norfolk Police, said the murder weapon had not been found.
