At least 35 female commuters died and 10 others were injured yesterday when they leapt off a train they thought was on fire and were mown down by another speeding in the opposite direction, Reuter reports from Bombay.

Scores of screaming commuters, panicked by fears of a fire in a stationary train specifically provided for female commuters, jumped on to the adjoining tracks near the Bombay suburb of Borivli.
