PHNOM PENH (Reuter) - Khmer Rouge guerrillas detained 46 United Nations peace-keeping troops from Indonesia yesterday, after releasing 21 UN personnel in the same province of Kompong Thom, a UN spokesman said.
The group could be in danger if they tried to leave their captors in central Cambodia, the spokesman said.
At least 70 well-armed Khmer Rouge guerrillas were holding the peace-keepers at the hamlet of Phum O'Sala.
