LAGOS - Moshood Abiola, the winner of last year's annulled elections, has proclaimed himself president of Nigeria, an aide said. There was no independent confirmation but state television said police declared Mr Abiola a wanted man and appealed for help in finding him. The aide said the tycoon businessman proclaimed himself president before an audience at the Lagos Island Mainhall yesterday evening.
