LAGOS - Moshood Abiola remained in custody yesterday despite being granted bail on Friday. The high court, which is trying Mr Abiola for treason for proclaiming himself president, granted bail on condition he does not address a rally or leave Nigeria. Mr Abiola, who is believed to have won last year's annulled presidential election, opposes the conditions. His detention has provoked strikes and riots. Reuter
