The Palestinian guerilla leader Abu Nidal may be dead, according to Libya's ruler, Muammar Gaddafi, Reuter reports from Tunis.

'. . . I believe he is not alive because I have appealed to him (to visit) and he didn't come,' Colonel Gaddafi, believed to be Abu Nidal's main sponsor, was quoted as telling the US magazine Newsweek in an interview. Sabri al-Banna, known as Abu Nidal, is the world's most wanted political killer.
