Mexicans yesterday mourned the death of comic actor Cantinflas, who won international recognition for his role in the film Around the World in 80 Days, Reuter reports from Mexico City. Cantinflas, 81, whose real name was Mario Moreno Reyes, died of lung cancer late on Tuesday.

Cantinflas was especially popular among poor Mexicans who considered him one of their own.
