A British woman has been barred from leaving Egypt after being arrested at Cairo International Airport yesterday.

She is accused of illegally using foreign funds to finance activities to destabilise Egypt. The Foreign Office said it was assisting the woman, who is on a list of foreigners under investigation over ties to foreign non-profit groups accused of stirring unrest in the country.
