The footballer Didier Drogba joined politicians in Ivory Coast yesterday to launch a Truth and Reconciliation Commission that aims to promote unity after the violence that followed disputed elections last year.
The 11-member commission is chaired by former Prime Minister Charles Konan Banny and also includes religious leaders and regional representatives. Drogba will speak for Ivorians living abroad.
