The semi-autonomous Somali region of Puntland has captured a Yemeni boat carrying heavy weapons destined for al-Shabaab rebels, who are linked to al-Qa'ida.
The incident has raised concern about co-operation between the Yemen-based al-Qa'ida in the Arabian Peninsula and al-Shabaab.
"The boat was laden with rocket-propelled grenades, anti-tank mines and other weapons," Abdisamad Mohamed, the mayor of Bosasso, told reporters.
