Venezuela's Kenya envoy strangled

Venezuela's acting ambassador to Kenya has been murdered at her official residence in Nairobi.

Police said they believed the charge d'affaires, Olga Fonseca, was strangled. Anthony Kibuchi, Nairobi area police commander, said four domestic workers had been arrested.

Kenya Broadcasting Corporation reported that three local staff had earlier complained about alleged unlawful dismissal by Ms Fonseca. They had claimed they were fired after refusing to retract sexual harassment claims against the former ambassador, Gerarto da Silva.
