General Mohamed Farah Aideed, the fugitive Somali warlord, is in Khartoum as an official guest of the Sudanese military leader, Omar Hassan el-Beshir, according to the rebel Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA), AFP reports from Nairobi. Gen Aideed is on the run from the United Nations over the killing of 24 peace-keepers. Yesterday the SPLA quoted reliable sources as saying that Gen Aideed surfaced in Khartoum on Wednesday as an official guest of Gen Beshir.
