Jurors at the trial of the man accused of killing 'American Sniper' Chris Kyle have been shown video footage showing the suspect fleeing from police.

The footage shown to jurors in Texas shows Eddie Ray Routh, speeding away from police in Mr Kyle's truck. The footage also shows his arrest by law enforcement officers.

Routh, 27, has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder. His lawyers have said he suffered from mental health issues and was not legally sane at the time of Mr Kyle's killing, two years ago.
