• An investigation into what caused the devastating crash in the city's Port Richmond neighborhood has been launched.

• Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter said the scene of the derailment was an "absolute disastrous mess".

• Passengers have posted videos of their escape from the wreckage.

•  All seven train cars, including the engine, were left in "various stages of disarray" by the crash.
