A crime reporter has been charged with robbing a liquor store and shooting at police.

Akile Simon, of the Trinidad Express, is one of four men accused of stealing $28,000 (£18,000) and nine bottles of whiskey from the store near Port of Spain. Both Simon and Brendon Alexander, a cameraman, denied the charges yesterday and were remanded in custody.
