In announcing his candidacy for president, Donald Trump began by claiming the US is losing to China and Japan, especially in trade matters.
He said that American roads are crawling with Japanese cars, while Japanese cars are completely devoid of American-made vehicles. Mr Trump asked, "When was the last time you saw a Chevrolet in Tokyo"?
So we looked into it.
