He seems relaxed, he seems happy.
That at least seems to be the message behind photographs that appear to show escaped Mexican drug kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman and posted online. They show him drinking a beer and sitting in the cockpit of a plane.
The photos were posted on the Spanish-language site El Blog del Narco, and were reportedly provided by the billionaire drug lord’s son.
Guzman’s breakout was accomplished via a mile-long tunnel dug 30-feet beneath the shower stall in his cell. A motorcycle on rails was used to move dirt and tools.
The tunnel, equipped with lighting and ventilation, ended near a remote construction site. A neighbour told authorities he saw a helicopter land there Saturday night, at around the time jailers discovered that Guzman was gone.
