Gay rights: Cheers greet rainbow army

For the first time US service members have participated at the San Diego’s gay pride parade (AP)

There were loud cheers on Saturday for troops in military dress at San Diego's gay pride parade, the first time that US service members have participated in such an event while in full uniform. They marched alongside an old army truck decorated with a "Freedom to Serve" banner.
