Mr Bush's spokesman says he 'apologizes to anyone he may have offended'

Another woman has accused former President George HW Bush of groping her, saying he did so when she was a teenager.

In an interview with TIME magazine, Roslyn Corrigan said the former President touched her buttocks when she was 16, during a 2003 event at a Texas office of the Central Intelligence Agency.

Describing feeling confusion and “absolute horror”, Ms Corrigan told TIME she did not say anything to Mr Bush.

“What does a teenager say to the ex-president of the United States? Like, ‘Hey dude, you shouldn’t have touched me like that’”? she told the magazine.

“I was really, really confused,” Ms Corrigan said, adding: “I was a child”.

Several acquaintances of Ms Corrigan are quoted corroborating her story, saying she had told them of the groping. Through a spokesman, Mr Bush expressed contrition.

“George Bush simply does not have it in his heart to knowingly cause anyone harm or distress, and he again apologizes to anyone he may have offended during a photo op,” spokesman Jim McGrath told TIME.

Numerous women have now come forward to allege Mr Bush groped them. The former President’s spokesman has said he did not intend any harm.
