Harvey Weinstein tells reporter his legal team 'are great' as he arrives at court

A woman who has accused Harvey Weinstein of raping her gave tearful testimony on Friday, giving jurors a graphic description of the producer’s body as she addressed the court.

The woman alleges that Weinstein raped her in 2013. Weinstein is on trial partly based on her allegations. He’s also facing charges that he performed a forcible sex act on another woman in 2006.

Weinstein has pleaded not guilty and has denied all allegations of non-consensual sex. He has also denied retaliating against women.

On Friday, the woman testified that Weinstein made a series of unwelcome advances, once trying to kiss her as she tried to fight him off, then telling her she couldn’t leave “until I do something for you”.

That “something” turned out to be performing oral sex on her, she told jurors, her voice breaking.

After she faked an orgasm “to get out of it,” she said, Weinstein asked her whether she’d liked it.

“I was nervous so I told him, ‘The best I ever had,”’ she said, adding that she dashed out of the room as soon as she could.

The woman gave the court a detailed description of Weinstein’s body, saying he had “extreme scarring”, adding: “He does not have testicles and it appears that he has a vagina.”

Her testimony marked a pivotal moment for both sides in the courtroom, as it involved the most serious charge that has led to the current court case.

If convicted on the most serious charges against him, Weinstein could spend the rest of his life in prison.

On Friday, the woman testified that Weinstein allegedly raped her twice.

The first time, she says he allegedly trapped her in a New York hotel room in March 2013, angrily ordered her to undress as he loomed over her, and then raped her.

Still, she told the court she kept in touch, sending him flattering emails, because “his ego was so fragile,” she said, and it “made me feel safe, worshipping him in this sense. I wanted to be perceived as innocent and naive.”

The defence says the woman sent him warm emails that said things like "Miss you, big guy." Weinstein's lawyers have said that the woman didn't accuse Weinstein of harming her in more than 400 messages between the two.

Then, eight months later at a Los Angeles hotel where she worked as a hairdresser, she told Weinstein that she was dating an actor, she said.

“You owe me one more time!” he allegedly screamed. The woman said she begged him not to take off her clothes, but he allegedly said, “I don’t have time for games” and ripped off her pants before pushing her legs apart and raping her.

Afterward, she said, she crawled into the bathroom, her eyes red and swollen from tears, and worried that he’d get angry if he knew she was crying.

Weinstein allegedly told her: “I just find you so attractive, I couldn’t resist.”

The woman also testified on Friday that she at one point started having “non-forcible” oral sex with Weinstein, telling the court: ”I was confused after what happened and I made a decision to be in a relationship with him.” While she wasn’t sexually attracted to Weinstein, she felt compassion for him and wanted his approval, she added.

But the relationship quickly turned “degrading,” she told the court. Weinstein could be charming, but “if he heard the word ‘no,’ it was like a trigger for him,” she said.

The woman's testimony is scheduled to resume on Monday.
