Police say one suspect is in custody
Police are responding to reports of a shooter at a medical centre in California.
Officers are searching Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Downey room by room.
One suspect has been detained so far, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The Norwalk Station of the sheriff's department said that local Downey police had confirmed there are no injuries.
However they said that a systematic search for any other possible suspects was still continuing.
The sheriff's department said that residents should remain clear of the area, while those inside of the hospital should "remain sheltered and wait for law enforcement instruction."
