Michigan woman wins $1 million lottery prize after losing ticket for months
Talk about a close one
Linda Tuttle of Kentwood, Michigan is a newly minted millionaire.
Ms Tuttle told Michigan Lottery officials that she found her winning lottery ticket lying within a pile of old mail postages. She traveled to Lansing to claim her winnings on Tuesday for the May 26 Mega Millions drawing.
She said she’d completely forgotten about the ticket until a T&J Party Store clerk told her that she’d sold the winning ticket months ago. She now plans to buy a new car and use her winnings to visit her former exchange students in China.
