New York Juno storm: Teenager died while snowtubing
Police say 17-year-old hit light pole in Long Island
Police say a 17-year-old boy snow-tubing down a New York street with friends has crashed into a light pole and died.
Teenager Sean Urda and two of his friends were taking turns riding on a snow-tube in Huntington, Long Island, at around 10 pm Monday as the Juno storm was approaching, police said.
But when it was his turn, he lost control of the tube and rammed into a light pole, authorities said. Emergency teams Greenlawn Fire Department Ambulance too the teenager to the Huntington Hospital where he died, the New York Post reported.
His two friends, also 17, were not injured.
All of Long Island was under a severe blizzard warning at the time he died.
