A newly wed bride who pushed her husband to his death off a 200ft cliff in Montana’s Glacier National Park has been given a 30-year prison sentence.

Jordan Graham, 22, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder at a court in Missoula, saying she had argued with her husband of just eight days, Cody Johnson, after telling him she “wasn't sure we should be married”.

She said Mr Johnson, 25, had grabbed her hand, then she “pushed his hand off and just pushed away”.

“I wasn't thinking about where we were ... I just pushed,” a tearful Graham said. “It was a moment of complete shock and panic. I have no other explanation.”

However, passing sentence, Judge Donald Molloy said: “I don't think she's been entirely truthful about what happened.”
