The three living victims appeared to have non-life-threatening injuries, Plano police spokesman David Tilley said, according to Dallas News. At least one of the victims was purposefully targeted.
Police spokeswoman Heather Bowden told The Independent the incident was related to domestic violence. The suspect reportedly fled the scene before police arrived.
A man at the complex, who identified himself as the father of one of the victims, told CBS 11 News that his daughter and her co-worker were shot. He added that they were employees of the apartment complex.
Police have yet to release a description of the suspect or the victims.
The incident reportedly occurred just before 9:30 am CT(3:30 pm BT) at the Cross Creek Apartments. Police said the victims were shot inside and outside of the apartment complex, according to NBC.
Footage from the scene showed a black pickup truck crashed into the side of a beige vehicle.
Mr Tilley said he believes the shooting was an isolated incident.
