Woman describes R Kelly behaviour to her when she was 16

A woman who alleges she had under-age sex with R Kelly after meeting him outside his 2008 child pornography trial in Chicago said the singer had a woman train her to “please him”.

Jerhonda Pace described being introduced to a female “trainer” who taught her sexual acts to perform on the “Ignition” singer when she was just 16 years old, in an interview with The Real.

“I went out there to his tour bus and you have him naked and you have her naked,” she said.

“And I’m looking like, ‘Okay, what is this?’ Because Rob [Kelly] is the one who took my virginity, so I was like, ‘Um, yeah, so, what’s going on?’ And he’s like, ‘Don’t worry about it.’

“I guess he saw that I was looking uneasy and I wanted to know what I am doing.”

Ms Pace continued: “That’s when he told me to look at her and he said, ‘She’s going to teach you everything you need to know. She’s going to please you'. He told me to remove my clothes and that’s when me and her engaged in sexual activity.”

“I just went along with everything he was asking, but I was very scared and he picked that up,” she added.

Ms Pace also spoke about the physical abuse she alleges she endured from the 50-year-old R&B singer, saying he slapped her in the face and would lock her in a room for “days at a time” while she was living at his house.

“It was very frightening. He would slap you in your face and he would physically harm you and he would put you in a room and he would lock you in a room for days,” she said.

The young woman said she managed to escape Kelly’s house by claiming she was going to get shoes from her uncle’s house ahead of a party the singer was throwing.

She says Kelly allowed her to leave only on condition that she return immediately.

“At that moment, I knew when I got out the house, I wasn’t going back,” she said.

“I refused. I left everything behind and never looked back.”

The child pornography trial outside which she said she met Kelly saw him acquitted of all 14 charges.

It was triggered by a videotape which allegedly showed him having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

Kelly has also vehemently denied allegations of grooming under-age girls for sex.

Despite having faced previous accusations of sexual misconduct, Kelly has never been found guilty.

He was twice arrested a decade ago over claims he was involved in sexual activity with an under-age girl, but no charges were brought.

Prior to Ms Pace’s interview, representatives for Kelly denied recent allegations in a statement to TMZ, writing: “Mr Robert Kelly is both alarmed and disturbed by the recent revelations attributed to him.

“Mr Kelly unequivocally denies such accusations and will work diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers and clear his name.”

The Independent has contacted Kelly’s representatives for comment.
