'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Teresa Giudice released from prison
Ms Giudice had spent nearly a year in prison over a bankruptcy fraud conviction

Star of popular American television series The Real Housewives of New Jersey Teresa Giudice was freed from a Connecticut prison Wednesday, reports say.
Ms Giudice, who together with her husband Joe Giudice pleaded guilty to charges of bankruptcy fraud, had spent nearly a year in prison before she was released ahead of the Christmas holiday, her attorney told the Associated Press (AP).
"Welcome back," Ms Giudice's daughter, Gia, wrote on Twitter after her mother's release.
Mr Giudice will begin his prison sentence in March, delayed by judges in the interest of the couple’s four daughters, AP said.
Ms Giudice did not immediately respond to The Independent’s request for comment.
