Tennessee official resigns after saying KKK is better than Obama

Another day, another government official supporting the presidential elect resigns after posting racist messages about the first family. On Wednesday, David Barber, the deputy director of corrections for Shelby County in Tennessee, was fired from his position after 17 years for saying that the KKK is “more American than the illegal president” on Facebook.

In another post, Mr Barber wrote, "I TRUMP wins and obummer cannot start martial law, he will run to his new mansion in thaArab world to hide. Hopefully the Muslims will eliminate him and mooshelle as queers." He also shared a post that read, “Arrest convict hang and confiscate all assets” from the president and the first lady.

Another, seemingly referred to white genocide, “I am concerned that media using mixed race couple's in ads as normal is one way liberal's are trying to eliminate the white race."

After receiving waves of criticism from his community, Mr Barber resigned for the messages shared on his private Facebook account, however, since his page was private it did not violate county policy. The community is now working to create a new rules in hopes of preventing a similar situation of a racist outbreak.

"I sincerely regret that I was the scandal we were so happy to have avoided for so long,” he wrote in his resignation letter. “Please know that I meant no ill and hope to restore your confidence in me in the future.
