A polygamous American family with a reality TV show plan to challenge the Utah bigamy law that makes their lifestyle illegal. A Washington attorney, Jonathan Turley, said he would file the lawsuit in Salt Lake City's district court today.
He represents Kody Brown and his four wives. Originally from Lehi, Utah, the family appear on the TLC reality show, Sister Wives. They moved to Nevada in January when police launched a bigamy inquiry. In Utah a person can be guilty of bigamy from cohabitation, not just marriage contracts.
