Video: Endangered Sumatran tiger cubs born at Washington Zoo

An endangered Sumatran tiger has given birth to two healthy cubs at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, D.C. The births have been seen as a success for conservationists due to the species decline.

Zookeeper Leigh Pitsko siad: 'We're very excited by the birth of our two Sumatran tiger cubs.' Ms Pitsko added that they had seen the tiger in discomfort for several days and had kept their eyes 'glued' to the monitor to watch her progress.
