Man dragged by school bus

Video has emerged showing a father being dragged away by a school bus after the driver refused to let him pick up his five-year-old daughter.

James Burdett, 23, was waiting to pick up his daughter from what he believed was the correct bus stop, only to find the vehicle continue its journey.

Mr Burdett proceeded to stand in front of the bus in an attempt to force the driver into letting his child off.

The driver refused which led to Mr Burdett grab onto the vehicle's front mirror.

He told Boston’s WCVB that once the bus started moving, “it was too late, I had to grab on because he was already going.”

“He pressed on the gas again and hit my leg. I grabbed on for dear life and he kept going.”

The bus driver is now on administrative leave as education authorities and the Boston Police Department investigate the incident.
