A rare white Bengal Tiger cub has been born in a zoo in Peru, becoming the first to be born in captivity in the country.
The unnamed female cub is only 41 days old but she is already proving to be a big hit with visitors at Huachipa Zoo. The baby tiger has been placed on a special diet because her mother cannot produce enough milk to feed her.
White tigers have poor immune systems compared to other species and so it is even more important for them to cared for. The tigers are coming close to extinction and according to the World Wildlife Fund there are less than 2,000 left in the world.
