Passengers on a bus in northern Brazil had the narrowest of escapes when they got off their vehicle just moments before it fell through a crater in the road and was carried away in surging flood waters.

Video footage captured of the incident in Para state shows the passengers getting off the bus near the cities of Itaituba and Ruropolis. The passengers’ images of the incident were circulated on social media in Brazil.
