Video shows 'thief fake heart attack' while friend 'steals toys' from Wal-Mart
The man appears to dramatically drops to the floor, then walk away when his accomplice leave the store
A man dramatically faked a heart attack at a store in Florida as a distraction so his friend could steal toys, according to the police.
The men, Tarus Scott, 30, and Genard Dupree, 27, filled a shopping trolley with toys, including a motorised power wheel Barbie car, Leap Frog tablet and a Barbie Glam vacation house, before leaving the Wal-Mart store, said the Polk County Sheriff's office
CCTV footage from the scene appears to show Dupree theatrically grasping his chest as he falls to the ground, at around 3:30 seconds. He then writhes on the floor while passersby look on, confused. At one point, a man who appears to be a Walmart employee looks at him and walks on.
As a concerned shopper checks on him, Scott takes the opportunity to walk out of the store with the toy-filled cart.
Once Scott is outside, Dupree is shown getting up and casually walking out.
The pair left the scene in a silver SUV but police officers soon caught up with them. Police arrested the pair on Tuesday and charged them with theft.
It is not known whether the men have attorneys.
