73-year-old woman accused of killing 82-year-old neighbour with brick
Victim found dead in back garden after being hit ‘multiple times with brick,’ police say

A 73-year-old woman allegedly beat her 82-year-old neighbour to death with a brick at an old people’s home.
Chun Yong Oh has been charged with the murder of her long-time friend and neighbour Hwa Cha Pak in Washington DC.
Police say Ms Chun hit the victim “multiple times with a brick” and then “called 911 to report the murder” at 7.15am on Sunday.
Ms Hwa was found with injuries on her upper body in a garden at the back of Emerson House in Bladensburg, Maryland, when officers arrived.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives say a preliminary investigation has revealed the friends had “been in a dispute” prior to the murder.
It has been suggested that they may have argued about money, but this has not been confirmed.
Speaking about the victim, a neighbour told NBC Washington: “My heart just sank, because she was just delightful. She was a delight for our little family at the centre.”
Prince George’s County Police Department said Ms Chun was charged with first and second degree murder.
She remains in the custody of the department of corrections on a no-bond status.
Online court records appeared to show the defendant was set to appear for a preliminary court hearing on Tuesday.
