Mysterious semi-clothed woman 'in wrist restraints' filmed ringing doorbells in middle of night
Police investigate 'suspicious' incident in Texas neighbourhood
Police are investigating after a mysterious semi-clothed woman – apparently wearing restraints around her wrists – rang a number of doorbells in the middle of the night in Texas.
Deputies said the “suspicious” incident happened on Friday at around 3.20am, when the woman was captured on surveillance camera ringing the bell a house in Sunrise Ranch, Montgomery.
In the video, released by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the woman is seen walking towards the front door before pushing the bell.
She is dressed in a t-shirt, but is barelegged and walking without shoes. She appears to have an unfastened wrist restraint hanging from her right arm.
“The look on her face, but she was being very very quiet… she just looked distressed,” one neighbour who saw the footage told ABC News.
Another local said someone had rang his doorbell that night. “I heard somebody who sounded like they were downstairs, but then by the time I got to the door they were gone,” he said. “I looked outside but I didn’t see anybody.”
One resident told ABC the woman rung the doors of several neighbours, but always disappeared before they had time to answer.
Police said they had been contacted by a number of people who sent them missing persons posters, claiming the woman was someone missing in their area. None were matches.
The sheriff’s office said it was reviewing further surveillance footage from surrounding homes and businesses.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is calling on anyone with information about the woman to contact them at 936-760-5800.
