Jeff Gillooly, former husband of the skating star Tonya Harding, was reported to be planning to make a public appeal today to the skater to admit involvement in the plot to attack her rival Nancy Kerrigan, Reuter reports from Portland, Oregon. ABC News said Mr Gillooly would admit his own involvement and then hold a press conference to encourage Ms Harding to come forward and end any doubts about her involvement. She maintains she had no prior knowledge of the assault plan.
