A teenage girl held captive in a toilet for six months after refusing to work as a prostitute spoke about her ordeal from an hospital bed in Kabul yesterday.

Sahar Gul, 15, was tortured with pliers, burned with cigarettes and had her fingernails pulled out. A police rescue team said the child bride's in-laws had attacked her after she refused their demands.
