Chinese man survives after being dragged 200m by irate taxi driver
Guo Dongya said he was terrified during the ordeal
A Chinese bus driver survived being dragged along by a taxi for more than 200 metres after he confronted the motorist over scratching his vehicle.
Guo Dongya’s ordeal was captured on CCTV in China’s eastern city of Heze.
The victim, who drives the local bus, stopped after he noticed that a taxi driver had scratched his vehicle at a crossing.
Leaving his bus Mr Guo attempted to confront the driver, who unexpectedly started his engine and drove forward, knocking him off his feet and onto the bonnet of the car.
“I opened the door and seized him but he shouted and me and drove away,” Wu said.
Terrified, Mr Guo hung on until the car slowed down and he rolled off. But his ordeal was not over yet.
Walking around to the passenger’s side, he opened the door to speak to the taxi driver – who promptly drove off, again. Dragging him along for 200 metres the shaken bus driver managed to get away and was later taken to hospital.
A female passer-by saw events unfold and rang for an ambulance. Wu was treated in hospital for injuries to his hands and legs.
Chinese authorities are believed to be investigating the incident.
