Lady Gaga upset fans by saying she wants to go shopping in Bangkok – for a fake Rolex. She made the comment to her Twitter followers, sparking uproar among some Thai fans who called it offensive and insulting.

The pop star is on tour in Asia, where her provocative lyrics and costumes have angered Catholic groups in South Korea and the Philippines, as well as Islamists in Indonesia, where a gig planned for Solo in Java on 3 June may be banned. She posted her comment after arriving in Bangkok for a show tomorrow.
