Aung San Suu Kyi has fallen ill while campaigning in a by-election and has suspended her tour of Burma a week ahead of the polls.
An official for her National League for Democracy party said Ms Suu Kyi's doctor had advised taking the break after she fell ill with vomiting in the Mergui archipelago.
These polls are the first Ms Suu Kyi's party has contested since it won a 1990 general election — only for the army to ban it from taking power. AP
