Indonesian police said today they had arrested their most-wanted fugitive, a man believed to have an important role in terrorist activity.
Abu Tholut alias Mustofa is one of Indonesia's top wanted suspects after militant figures Noordin M Top and Dulmatin died at the hands of police last year.
He is accused of helping set up a terror network plotting attacks on foreigners at luxury hotels in Jakarta and several high-profile assassinations, including Indonesia's president.
Investigators confirmed the man arrested was Abu Tholut.
MetroTV and TVOne said he was arrested during a police raid at his house in Central Java's Kudus district.
