King Norodom Sihanouk's body was returned to his homeland yesterday, watched by hundreds of thousands of mourners who packed the streets of the capital, Phnom Penh, before the royal funeral.
Sihanouk, 89, died on Monday of a heart attack in Beijing, where he had been receiving medical treatment since January. His body will lie in state at the Royal Palace for three months.
