British man found dead in Bangkok hotel just hours after arriving in Thai capital
Tourist's friend vanishes after raising alarm

A British man has been found dead in Thailand, just hours after he arrived in the country.
Luke Ramage’s body was found lying across his bed by a receptionist at the Bavana Hotel in Bangkok.
There were signs of a struggle at the scene and bruising along the 31-year-old’s legs and shoulders, according to The Sun.
Mr Ramage’s luggage was still packed and the room’s safe had been left open.
No valuables were found inside.
A friend of the father-of-two told staff that there was a problem but vanished shortly afterwards.
Friends of Mr Ramage, who was from Consett, County Durham, took to social media to pay tribute to the 31-year-old.
“You are one of a kind I love you like no other,” Jade Storey wrote on Facebook.
"I couldn’t be any more gutted."
Mr Ramage had been planning to travel to Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Laos before returning to Thailand.
“Our staff are supporting the family of a British man following his death in Thailand," a spokesperson for the Foreign Office said.
"We continue to do all they can for them, and remain in contact with the Thai authorities.”
