Footage has emerged that shows a man being pulled from a collapsed building in Kathmandu after spending more than 62 hours trapped following the massive earthquake that hit Nepal on Saturday.

In the video taken on Tuesday, Chinese rescue workers are seen pulling the 21-year-old man from underneath the rubble, before placing him on a stretcher to receive medical attention.

A close up of the man’s face shows he is unconscious but still breathing, despite being without food or water for nearly three days. It has not been confirmed what physical state the man is currently in but medics did confirm that on an initial inspection his vital signs “looked good”.

The video is the latest rescue to be made by the teams across Nepal as they work tirelessly to find survivors amid the devastation left by the quake that ravaged the impoverished mountainous nation over the weekend.

Yesterday, teams of foreign rescue workers streamed into Nepal’s capital Kathmandu to help the already overstretched Nepalese emergency services try to find survivors and treat the 7,000 people that have been confirmed injured.

The team that were involved in the rescue above were part of 62-person task force sent by the Chinese Government to provide assistance for its neighbour that borders it to the south.

Early on Tuesday, the number of confirmed dead passed 4,300 with Nepal’s Prime Minister Sushi Koirala announcing that the death toll could reach 10,000.
